Hey everyone,
I hope you are all staying sane and as calm, positive, and thoughtful with the time we have on our hands during quarantine. I have been working to use this time to the best of my ability.
While I deeply miss seeing all the amazing people in my life, I have enjoyed getting to spend some time on things that I don't always have time for. Here are some of the things I have been loving:
DAILY(or almost daily;)) YOGA:

Yoga has become a very important part of my life over the past few years, but I have never had the chance to incorporate it into my schedule as much as I am currently.
Having this time to get in touch with myself each day has been super helpful for finding some peace within all of this.
Check out what I have been using recently here!
Especially the 14 day yoga challenge! Super fun and free!
JOURNALING:
I enjoy using journaling as a way to check in with myself. This super great website actually led a 30 day Quarantine Guided Journaling Journey, and I have loved getting new prompts every day.
I feel that this practice has been good for helping me stay in touch with where I am at, and to help myself stay as calm as I can throughout these different times.

FAMILY TIME:
I don't get to spend a ton of time with my family normally, but before I move away for university in the fall, I am grateful for this extra time with them. Getting to eat more meals as a family, play games, watch some movies, and just hanging out.
At moments, it can get pretty challenging seeing only 3 people + 1 puppy friend for such an extended period, but I sure am grateful to not be doing this alone!
VIRTUAL DANCE CLASSES:
Even if I can't be in a studio dancing with my friends and teachers in person, I have been BEYOND grateful to still be able to move and dance through so many virtual platforms. It has been so nice to have Zoom classes with my studio as well as so many other virtual classes!
It has been a super cool opportunity to create an individualized training regiment for myself and my personal needs!

COOKING and BAKING:
I always LOVE cooking and baking fun healthy meals, and it has been super fun to have that as a little escape. I have been loving trying out some fun new plant-based recipes recently and am excited to share those with you all soon!
For now, check out this awesome Whole Wheat Plant Based Blueberry muffin recipe from Oh She Glows!
ISSA CERTIFICATIONS:
I also am working on getting certifications in Personal Training and Sports Nutrition through the International Sports Science Association. I am super excited to be able to spend more time on these because without quarantine, these would definitely have to be postponed to summer. And would be a lot more time-cramped! Super excited to keep diving into these projects and learning more about these things!
I can't wait to be able to see all my friends and the rest of my family again! This quarantine, while has been extremely challenging, has taught me to never take human connection for granted. I REALLY miss hugs and dancing with people! That has probably been the hardest part...
But despite the challenges, it has been cool to learn how to function in the stillness, and to build self care routines that normal time constraints forced me to not delve into as deeply normally.
I look forward to seeing you all post-quarantine and miss you all deeply! Best wishes for your health, sanity, and well being through the rest of this!
<3 Megan
