My Favorites Foods of Greece!

Hi guys!

I am missing Greece and all of the amazing things about it! One awesome thing about traveling is getting to try so many new unique foods. Here are some of my favorite foods from my trip and would definitely recommend trying if you ever go:

  1. Fresh Juice- ***TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE CHEAPER AND EASY-TO-ACCESS FRESH JUICE***I tried two kinds I had never had: sour cherry and peach. For cherry juice, it is only good if you get the real deal: you have to make sure it is the brand Life(it is the bomb!) Our last night in Greece, I ordered peach juice from a restaurant called Arcadia. I was a little hesitant, because I had never it but it was SOOOOO GOOD! Best juice I have EVER had!!! Definitely a fav- I miss it a lot:(

  2. Vegetarian Spaghetti- We got this at a super cute restaurant called On the Bay for dinner one night. It sounded good, but I had no idea it was going to be so delicious. The normal italian dish filled with veggies and a greek twist with feta and olives! If it weren’t so far away, I would definitely go back!!!!!!! Nancy has remade this amazing dish at home for us, and oh my gosh; it was bomb!

  3. Dried Fruit- One day of our trip, we took a day cruise to three of Greece’s islands. On these islands we were able to try their homegrown dried fruit. I love dried fruit in general, but this was amazing. So fresh and sweet! Oh my gosh- this could be dangerous for me;)

  4. Chocolate Mousse- To die for heart-shaped dark chocolate mousse from a cute little espresso bar. It was sooo good, we even went back to get it again on our last night. Definitely a great way to end the trip!

  5. ALL ZUCCHINI THINGS- During the Contact improv workshop, the EGG provided amazing home cooked vegetarian greek meals every day. Some of my favorite dishes that we had were the Stuffed Zucchini and the Zucchini bites. They were so yummy! I love zucchini!

  6. Tomatoes- The whole trip, I was always impressed with their tomatoes. They were so fresh and delicious. I loved trying them in all kinds of dishes! I miss them compared to North Carolina tomatoes:)

  7. Pita Bread-It definitely did not disappoint in Greece! It was always so warm, and soft.

  8. Mochacchino and Freddo Cappuccino- I am really loving coffee recently, and really enjoyed freddo cappuccinos and mochacchinos in Greece. The only thing was without any sugar, freddo cappuccinos were sometimes VERY bitter and it was better to just ask for a little instead of none

  9. Greek Yogurt and Honey- Greece is known for is their yogurt and I can tell why! My go-to breakfast on the trip- thick and creamy greek yogurt, with delicious honey on it. I also love adding dried fruit. I miss true greek yogurt, but thankfully I was able to bring home lots of honey;)

Thankful for an amazing trip and definitely miss it!! Look out for other posts about what the dance experience, what I learned from taking a risk and doing something different, plus other favs from the trip!
