Fav things to do in NYC-Dance edition!!

Hey!

Whether you are traveling to NYC soon, or just want to hear about some cool things to do in the city as a dancer, here are some things I have loved!

Drop-in Classes:

In New York there are tons of options for dance classes, but a great way to get exposure and quality professional-setting training is through classes at Broadway Dance Center, Peridance Capezio Center, or Steps on Broadway. I definetely recommend taking classes at these studios; they bring in amazing choreographers, and you have the ability to take pretty much any style. They are also pretty reasonably priced for dance classes in general, but especially high quality dance classes, and for being in the city.

Hot Yoga! at @bodenyc

This summer I took a HIIT hot yoga class at Bode NYC. It was crazy to think that only like four months before, I was at Bode NYC, and was taking my very first hot yoga class ever! It is crazy to think that only about five months ago I had never taken a hot yoga class, and now I am incorporating it into my weekly training schedule, and truly am seeing benefits from it!

Bode is a great option to try something new, or cross training, and is also convenient as it has mutliple locations throughout the city! Definitely would recommend trying it

Broadway Shows

If you are in the city, even just as a tourist, seeing Broadway shows is an amazing thing to do! Especially as a dancer, in the city, you can see all kinds of shows, and get exposure to true Broadway, so it keeps you in the loop of who's choreographing, performing, creating, etc. along with giving you the knowledge about shows and their background.

I have been able to see Chicago and Anastazia and they both were great. I loved having the chance to get more exposure to choreography and people in the industry. I can't wait to see more!

Photoshoot!

If you are in the city there are also TONS of photo opportunities and is a great city for doing photoshoots. The city has so much variety. This summer I was able to do a photoshoot with Marcos Roque (@cosmoroque) and I had a great time! Here are some shots from the shoot:
