Hi,
Welcome to my Blog! I'm so excited to begin this very public way of sharing my life's adventures with all of you.
Being my first post, I'd love to share some of my current favorite and least favorite things!
Current Fav: Making Healthy Treats
I have recently gotten really into cooking and preparing healthy snacks that I can take with me to school or dance. I love looking up new recipes online, or healthy versions of old favorites and taking over the kitchen for a few hours!
Here are some fun things I have made that not only are very healthy, but also tasted great and make my body feel great too!
Current Least Fav: Meat!
Since November I have been going vegetarian, so I am avoiding all animal protein. For various reasons and opinions I feel it is a good option for me. While being vegetarian is great in many ways, you also have to make sure you are still getting enough protein, B12, Omega 3-fatty acids, calcium, etc. Some of my favorite meat substitutes and protein sources are tofu, sweet potato, mushrooms, beans, eggs, veggie/black bean burgers, nuts and nut butters, and plant-based protein powders.
So far, even though it has some challenges, I have been LOVING being vegetarian and it has encouraged healthier meals, trying new foods and recipes, along with independence. I have learned to be responsible for looking for restuarants that both my family and I will enjoy, along with making my own meals and accomodating to what the rest of my family is eating.

Current Fav: Hot Yoga
This summer I have been adding Hot Yoga into my cross training to see how it affects my dancing and well being. I am LOVING my results. My dancing has never been so stable and I love to sweat the stress away at Hot Yoga RTP Cary/Morrisville. Nikki Jones is an amazing instructor who knows exactly how to push me towards my strength and flexibility goals and I LOVE the variety of classes offered.
Current Least Fav: Pedialite
Within my hot yoga cross training this summer, I have even taken double class or two classes in a row. I actually enjoyed it a lot! While it was great, in order to help prevent feeling woozy or nauseous, we were encouraged to drink Pedialite in between classes to replenish electrolytes. I was not a fan. It was very sweet and I am not super into the super sugary taste. But I did have a great class!

Current Least Fav: Night Driving
I am 16 years old and next week I am able to get my license
after having my permit for a year! While I am very excited, I honestly don't love driving. Especially night driving. I personally would much rather just be a passenger, but I also want to be more independent and helpful to my parents, and I know by driving myself I can help a lot. I want to be safe on the roads though, so I have been making sure to practice a lot. Coming home from Virginia Beach for Nationals I drove for about an hour and thirty minutes in the dark, but it seemed like forever and I was just ready for it to be over. Definetly not my fav experience!
Current Fav: Fun Drinks!
Some other favorite things of mine right now is Thai Bubble Tea, Coffee, and Kombucha! I recently tried Thai tea and really enjoyed it. It is a popular asian drink that is basically Sweet Tea and Milk. Also after wanting to try Bubble Tea for a while, I tried it from H-Mart recently and it was so good! It tasted delicious, but also was so fun with the tapioca balls in it:) It was very good, but isn't the healthiest option so is more a special treat for me!
Coffee is another one of my current favorites! It is so yummy and it has so many different options. I hadn't liked it for years, but I recently have been loving it. Some of my favorite drinks are Iced Coffee, Iced Mocha, and the new Cold Foam Iced Cappucino from Starbucks. I also enjoy using almond milk to replace regular milk. Some of my places to go are Starbucks... so basic;) and Crema Coffee Roaster and Bakery.
I also tried Kombucha recently and it was very good! I have only tried a pomegranate lemon flavored one, but am definetely excited to try more!
Looking forward to more fun summer favs! You can follow me through my adventures and get to know me more here on my website or on my social media found linked on my home page!
